ANTIQUE VINTAGE ART DECO 1920s BAKELITE DOG BROOCH PIN TESTED COLLECTOR GIFT

EXTREMELY RARE Antique Art Deco Charming Carved Bakelite Early Plastic Dog Brooch Pin. Circa 1920's - 30's. Would make a GORGEOUS GIFT for any Dog Lover or Bakelite Collector! An utterly charming antique Art Deco carved Bakelite early plastic brooch pin. This adorable dog has an articulated hat which can be worn at a jaunty angle and looks super cute. He has a beady glass eye and hand-painted detail in green, red and black. Some of the paint is a little worn in places, commensurate with age, but I think this just adds to his immense charm. I have tested this with Simichrome and there was a colour change, also when a small portion was dipped into warm water, it gave off a musty chemical smell.

The brooch fastens with a simple C catch. Suitable for either a Lady or a Man. Measures approximately: 2.25" - 2.5". Or 62mm from tip to toe. In Very Good Antique Condition.
