Fabulous vintage scottie bakelite pin black dogs red hearts Valentines Day OOAK
Well, I thought my store was closing December 31st, but should have realized they make you pay a month in advance and it is open until January 31st. I have put most items back in the store at reduced prices and also decided to add a few HIGH END vintage scottie jewelry items.
This is a favorite , but I have not worn it much and decided to give it the possibilty of a new home. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate it as it is amazing. It has it all: pierced bakelite hearts (2), smaller plain hearts (5), red chain to connect from side to side, carved bakelite bar and of course 3 highly detailed black scotties with gold trim painted for their coats. The two smaller ones are in a standing or running position while the larger guy is center between the 2 pierced hearts and he is sitting down. The pin has a working clasp and that bar is about 2 1/8 inches long.
If you hold up the pin the longest danging items are the 2 pierced hearts and they hang about 2 1/4 from the bottom of the bar if you add the width of the bar it is about 3 inches long. Now you might have noticed the white in the carved groves, and I thought I would trying a q-tip and little soap and water, but they stay that way with the white deep in the cuts of the bakelite and assume this is normal as it is no substance that has been applied. So think nice Valentine's gift for yourself-who deserves it more and promise to act surprised when it arrives!
