Vintage Painted Bakelite Wood & Lucite Sleeping Mexican Man Under Tree Pin

This vintage pin has Bakelite legs and back painted Lucite tree. The sombrero is painted wood. Note as clearly seen in the photos of the back, there are traces of paint that makes the center of leaves darker than the tips of the leaves.

I do not know if it is intentional or if it's wear from age. The pin measures approximately 2-3/4" by 2-1/8".

I was very excited to come across this example because in my 30+ years of collecting Bakelite, this is the first time I have seen this pin.
