I have been asked to represent an impressive Bakelite collection for sale. This collection spans 30 years and includes many one-of-a-kind pieces as well as rare, flawless items that represent the bygone era of Bakelite Jewelry. All pieces are 100% authentic. I will be adding several new pieces each week.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be describing colors as closely as I can using various published books on Bakelite Jewelry and Bangles. Here is a very rare necklace, earrings and brooch set.
It is a Figural theme charm set with oranges and green leaves all on a burgundy celluloid link chain. This set is in flawless condition and a rare find especially with the burgundy celluloid chain not washed out. The burgundy color of the celluloid is bright and crisp with no fading.
The necklace also has a celluloid clasp that is very hard to find not broken. The earrings and brooch both have carved and painted green leaves that are perfect. The necklace is shown on page 96 of The Bakelite Jewelry Book by Corinne Davidov and Ginny Redington Dawes and on page 147 of Bakelite Jewelry by Donna Wassertrom & Leslie Pina. The item "Vintage Rare Bakelite Necklace of Oranges on Celluloid Chain with Pin and Earrings" is in sale since Wednesday, June 18, 2014.This item is in the category "Jewelry & Watches\Vintage & Antique Jewelry\Costume\Bakelite, Vintage Plastics\Pins, Brooches".
