1930s Bakelite Vintage Martha Sleeper Large Doe Deer Fawn Animal Pin Brooch Vtg

Amazing vintage Martha Sleeper butterscotch carved Bakelite deer brooch. Martha Sleeper was an actress in the 1920's and 30's and was also a designer of whimsical bakelite jewelry! The deer was one of her popular pieces. This one is done in butterscotch bakelite with carved spots, legs, mouth, a glass eye, and leather ears. There is some age appropriate scratching to the surface of the bakelite and the leather ears show some wear.

But given age, the piece is in very good to excellent condition. There is a safety clasp on the back that operates as it should. This is a book piece.
