It would certainly make a lovely presentation medallion. This beautifully detailed carved bakelite horse bust is made in the very desirable deep red color and has an inset yellow/golden glass eye with a black pupil. This particular piece has some extra detail on the bridle. Please look closely if you haven't already noticed the precisely placed delicate depressions that mimic embellishment across the nose, cheek and forehead. The reins are represented by smooth linked chain from the mouth to the mane. The bar pin is well placed so there is a nice balance when it's worn.

The swivel, catch and pin work perfectly, bearing no bends or distortions. The catch shows a slight change in color from oxidation and you can see that in a photo, but there is no rust, discoloration or wear. The approximate measurements are just about 2.5" from mane to tip, top of head to bottom of medallion is about 3". I have taken a lot of photos and will provide any angle photo you request.
