Offered here is an absolutely marvelous antique French gild brass Seahorse Bakelite Brooch. Art Deco Brooch from the 1930s, created by Jean Painleve Paris.
No markings but unmistakable piece, made for export in my opinion. Coral color and cherry red Galalith bakelite combined in geometric Art deco design and accented with gild seahorse love coupe. Brooch is vintage and preowned, and in very good condition.Minor wear of gold on back due to age overall very good persevered brooch. Measures; 1 3/4 in height.
