Fabulous Vintage Bakelite Brooch! Gorgeous Marbled Green withOpen Work Carvings

This GORGEOUS vintage Bakelite brooch dates to the early 1930-40's and is a marbled mixture of pale green and cream colored Bakelite. There is a solid jade green colored bead in the center of the brooch. The brooch has a rectangular shape that has a slight arch. Abstract open work carvings flank a lovely solid jade green bead. The brooch has its original brass hardware with a safety pin type clasp.

The clasp works like new and stays closed when the brooch is being worn. As you can see the open work carvings have been expertly done and the brooch is just gorgeous! It measures 2 1/4" x 1 3/8 and is approximately 3/16" thick and weighs 13 grams. The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were seen.
