Laminated Cranberry & Orange Bakelite And Striped Wood Pin, Large Superb Vintage

Large, fabulous vintage pin circa 1960s made of striped wood with cranberry and orange bakelite. The cranberry and orange bakelite colors bring out the striping in the wood, and this pin looks just gorgeous. I do not know whether the striped pattern in the wood is natural to the wood or whether the wood itself is a laminate of several woods put together- in any case it is really beautiful. This pin measures 2-9/16 inches long X 1-7/8 inches wide. It weighs 22.6 grams. The pinback is glued on and is original to the piece. Condition: This pin has age-appropriate overall very light surface wear, and there is a long light scratch on one side of the pin that you can see in the detail closeup pictures. The striped design and fantastic coloration of this piece are outstanding.
