Vintage JIM FOLTZ Bakelite Brooch Pink Flamingo Pin Plastic Figural Carved 00AK

Please view all photos carefully as they are part of my description! About decade ago, at my very first visit to the Springfield Ohio Antique Extravaganza, I met Jim Foltz.

I was immediately taken with the carved pieces he had to offer. He was so kind and patient to this rookie back then!

I mentioned I had just bought a Bakelite bracelet (the poker chip charm type) and he wanted to see it because he needed the flat discs as parts for more carvings. Then he said'let's trade' and let me pick out anything I wanted... Well of course, the pink flamingo! If you know JL Foltz pieces they are each hand carved.

I did test for Bakelite because it is an unusual color. It was a faint positive with Simichrome. Designer - J L Foltz 01 Signature IS hard to read but in certain light is much easier. Length 2.5" Width 1.5" Working clasp. Compare to pieces you already own!

A ny desired cleaning is left to the new owner.
