Vintage Large Bakelite Sword Scimitar Pin Brooch Shimmery Jewel Amber 4 Inches

Rare old sword pin in unusual Bakelite "jewel" shade, developed in 1924. Measures a very large 4 inches in length. Pin is intact, has old C-clasp, no lock, works well. The Asian/Middle Eastern scimitar was the only one I've seen made into Bakelite pieces. Maybe because of all the pirate/exotic movies of the 1930s and 1940s, or maybe because they had more dimension as a pin than a typical sword.
