Vintage MARBLED Butterscotch BAKELITE Brooch Pin HAT w/ Dangling BOOTS SHOES. This is an unusual and wonderful authentic bakelite pin / brooch.
It features a marbled butterscotch hat with a pink flower (the flower is somewhat worn) and two dangling marbled butterscotch hiking boots with black soles. The boots each have 7 brass studs in the soles, and the beige or perhaps olive? The cording shows some wear, but is all intact.
The pin on the back works. The marbled butterscotch color is beautifully translucent in the light. There are a couple of very fine reddish-brown lines on one side of each of the boots (back towards the heel on one boot and in the center on the other-- see pics) that may be tiny internal cracks or perhaps just manufacturing flaws, but you do not feel them when you run your fingers over the smooth outside of the bakelite, and they really only add further character to the patterns and swirls of the marbled texture.
