Vintage Martha Sleeper Resin Washed Bakelite Owl Brooch

Vintage Martha Sleeper Resin Washed Bakelite Owl Brooch. The 1940s resin washed owl brooch is attributed to Martha Sleeper. Her brooches were not marked. The flirtatious owl is resin washed in orange with yellow painted eyes with black lashes and a red painted beak. I have not tested the brooch with Simichrome so as not to damage the resin wash.

It is, however, a recognizable Sleeper Bakelite design. It is approximately 2" tall by 7/8" wide and closes with an open c-clasp. It is in very good vintage condition. Please enlarge and look at the photos as they are part of the description.
