VTG RED BAKELITE HEART Brooch Pin DANGLING CHERRIES Big 1940s. Beautiful vibrant red colored Bakelite pin from the 1940s. 3 inches high from tops of stems to bottoms of cherries.

Translucent heart piece looks like bakelite. Looks cut and finished and the pin is inset rather than glued.

However, test was negative with 409. The cherries test positive as Bakelite, no problem. Very good condition except for some flaking of red paint on the stems. Also, looks like the stems were glued on the back to be more secure.

Everything about the pin looks old. Maybe the heart had a finish applied to it. This one is identical to other pins reported as Bakelite with no caveats.
